Villas by the Indian Ocean

Acceptance of your booking is subject to the following conditions -

 

Accommodation Capacity

The total number of clients staying at any villa must not exceed its stated capacity.

 

Arrival & Departure Times

Generally, we do not take consecutive bookings which hand-over on the same day. As well as allowing us plenty of time to prepare the villa, it also enables our clients to move into their villa immediately upon arrival and remain there until it is time to leave for the airport on departure day. Alternative accommodation arrangements will be made for departing guests on their day of departure should a conflict arise.

 

Balance of Payment

Full payment of villa rental costs must be made to us, no later than two calendar months prior to rental commencement date. Late payments may result in the villa booking being cancelled without advance client notification.

 

Bed Linen

Bed linen and towels are included in each villa.

 

Booking Deposit

A non-refundable booking deposit of 30% of the total booking fee is required. No invoice or letter of confirmation can be dispatched to you until all deposits have been received.

 

Breakages

The villa owners shall be compensated directly by the client for any damage or breakages that occur.

 

Cancellation by Client

In the event that you wish to cancel your villa reservation, the following charges will apply:-

(i) Outside four weeks from arrival date: you will forfeit your booking deposit.

(ii) Between two and four weeks from arrival date: you will forfeit 50% of your villa rental cost.

(iii) Within two weeks of rental commencement: you will forfeit 100% of your villa rental cost.

 

Client Conduct

Pink Pigeons Mauritius reserves the right to terminate this contract if the conduct of the client either prior to or during a holiday is likely to endanger the safety or wellbeing of other clients in the party, or that of the client concerned.

The client will undertake to keep the villa and all furniture, fixtures and fittings in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of their stay.

 

Complaints

In the unlikely event of a complaint, it must be brought to the attention of your Pink Pigeons Mauritius representative on the island. Should we be unable to mutually resolve the issue, the complaint should be placed in writing within 14 days.

 

Disabled Persons

It shall be the client's responsibility to disclose, prior to the booking, to Pink Pigeons Mauritius any physical or mental condition of a member of the party which may be relevant. Subject to a discussion with the client, Pink Pigeons Mauritius will advise on the suitability of any of our villas.

 

Electricity Charges & Phone Charges

The cost of electricity is included in the price of your villa.  Some owners charge additionally for the use of air-conditioning units. This charge is payable by the client directly to the owner or Pink Pigeons Mauritius representative, prior to your departure from Mauritius.

In homes which supply phones, local calls are free (apart from internet access) but international dialling is generally barred. If you intend to use internet access facilities via the villa's phone line, you must advise us so that arrangements can be made with the owner for reimbursement of any costs.

 

Insurance

We strongly recommend that clients take out holiday insurance to cover accidents and the possibility of cancellation charges.

 

Liability

Pink Pigeons Mauritius, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any damage, loss or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at any time during the reserved stay.

 

Rate Changes

Pink Pigeons Mauritius may review and alter advertised rates at any time. Rates agreed at the time of booking will not be increased in any event.

 

Right to Decline

Pink Pigeons Mauritius reserves the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of the final balance payment. In addition, the company is relieved of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance, alternative arrangements will be made in similar accommodation, or a full refund will be offered.

However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of their booking.

 

Special Requests

Requests for cots, highchairs, camp beds etc. must be made to us in writing and whilst we will endeavour to do all possible to meet your request, it cannot be guaranteed. A supplement for such items may apply.

 

Villa Access

Should the need arise, Pink Pigeons Mauritius reserves a right of access to your villa at reasonable notice.
